Florrie was born on 20th June 1910 in Exeter, Devon, to Francis 'Frank' George Wright (41), a tinsmith and plumber, and Emma Wright (nee Bennett) (39), a former domestic servant and housewife.
Florrie was the eighth of ten children (eight boys and two girls), but the eldest girl:

Thirteen years before Florrie was born, her older brother Charles passed away, aged only five weeks, in March 1897, in Exeter.
1911 Census:
Around 1912, two-year-old Florrie and her family moved out of Exeter's poor West Quarter and moved to 11 Clinton Street, also in Exeter.
Florrie was only four, when the First World War began. Her older brother George served. After four years in the Territorial Royal Army Medical Corps, George, aged twenty-one, joined the 7th Reserve (Cyclist) Battalion of the Devonshire Regiment as a private, on 17th December 1914. He served at 'Home' until only the 6th January 1915 - only twenty days later - when he was deemed unfit. George passed away, aged only twenty-five, in March 1918, at home in Exeter. Florrie would have been seven years old at the time.
In Jan/Feb/Mar 1928, Florrie (17) married Walter James Westcott (17), a builder's labourer, in Exeter. Florrie was heavily pregnant when she married (between five and half to eight and half months pregnant).
Florrie and Walter had three sons:

- Ronald S 1931 -
For the first few years of their marriage, the young couple seemed to have lived at Florrie's family home of 11 Clinton Street. There their middle son, Harry, was born in December 1929.
In Mar 1939, when Florrie was twenty-eight, her father Frank passed away, aged seventy, in Exeter.
By the dawn of the Second World War, Florrie, now in her late twenties, was working as a cloth cutter for Marine Stores, and living with her husband and sons at 27 Coombe Street, also in Exeter.

In December 1944, when Florrie was thirty-four, her mother Emma passed away, aged seventy-three, in Exeter.
On 17th September 1951, when Florrie was forty-one, her husband Walter passed away, aged forty, in Exeter.

On 2nd February 1999, Florrie passed away, aged eighty-eight, in Exeter. She was the last surviving of the ten Wright siblings.
